"Not the best first impression, but the kids had fun"
Our first impression of butlins wasn't great, to be honest. The noise was the first thing that stood out, and not in a good way. We could hear people walking past the room shouting late at night, and there was music coming from nearby areas too, so getting proper sleep was difficult. That said, the kids did enjoy themselves, the room was clean enough, and the staff were fine. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but the lack of peace really let it down. I’d maybe go again, but I’d definitely ask for a quieter room next time

"Really supportive and no fuss"
We took our son, who has additional needs, and the staff were lovely. I know some people worry about places not being prepared, but we had no issues at all. It was easy to get around the site, and when we needed a bit of quiet help, they just sorted it without making a big deal out of anything. It made the whole break so much less stressful for us.

"Actually clean for once, which was a nice surprise"
Stayed at Butlin's for a few nights and, shockingly, the room was properly clean when we got there. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked fresh, and there wasn’t that usual mystery smell or random dust you half expect in places like this. It made the whole stay so much easier with the kids, because apparently not having to clean on arrival is a luxury now. Would happily go back.

"Booking was okay, but the app could be smoother"
In my experience, the booking process did work, but I found the app a bit slow and confusing at times. It wasn’t terrible, but I personally felt like it could be more straightforward and responsive.

"I expected the usual waiting around at…"
I expected the usual waiting around at check-in and again when leaving, but it was way quicker than I thought. No long queues, no messing about—just in and out without any stress. Really happy with the whole experience.

"Kids Had a Great Time"
The kids really loved all the activities and were just so excited the whole time. I don’t know, it just had a really good vibe overall. The only thing was the queues were a bit long, which got a little frustrating, but we still left feeling happy about it.

The package covered the basics, which was nice! But I’ll admit, it was a little frustrating having to pay extra for certain activities and some food items... Overall it was okay, just wish more had been included upfront.

"Good value for what we paid"
For the price, it was decent, and the kids had a great time. I kept saying a few things could’ve been better, and yeah, a few things really could’ve been better, but for what we paid it was still worth it. I complained a bit, probably more than once, but overall the kids were happy and that’s what mattered.

"Most of the staff were friendly and…"
Most of the staff were friendly and did try to help whenever we asked for something, and a few of the entertainment team were really lovely with the kids. The weird part is, reception felt a bit different. A couple of people there seemed rushed and not really that interested. They weren’t rude or anything, just a bit flat. Overall it was okay, but the service could definitely be more consistent.

"Easy parking, but arrive prepared"
We got there around 2 and parking was much easier than I expected. The staff pointed us in the right direction and check-in was quick with no messing about, so it was a nice start to the holiday. Just a heads up though, I’d definitely recommend arriving in good time and having your details ready, as I can imagine it getting more stressful if you turn up later or when it’s busier.

"The kids had a really good time, so…"
The kids had a really good time, so I can’t complain too much. But the ride queues got annoying after a while. Some lines seemed to barely move even when the ride wasn’t looking that full, which made me wonder what was going on. Overall, fun day for the kids, just a little frustrating waiting around so much.

"Great pool day for the kids"
We mostly went for the swimming pool, and in my opinion it was totally worth it. My kids did not want to get out at all. The water was nice and warm, everything felt clean enough to me, and the staff were friendly when we needed a hand. I’m probably a little biased because my kids had such a good time, but I’d happily go back.

"Clean Room and Comfy Beds"
The beds were really comfy and the room was nice and clean. I also appreciated having a kettle in the room, it came in handy. Check-in was straightforward too, and I got my receipt by email without any hassle.

"We had a really good time at Butlins…"
We had a really good time at Butlins, the entertainment was the main reason. The live shows were what made the trip feel worth it for us. The singers and dancers had loads of energy, and the kids were completely into it, which made it even better. We also ended up enjoying the smaller acts in the bars more than we expected. There always seemed to be something going on, so we never had that moment of wondering what to do next. We didn’t feel bored once...

We went during a busy time, but the queues were handled Better than I expected. The staff kept everyone moving along and it didn’t feel too stressful. There were definitely crowds, but things felt organised enough, and we didn’t end up spending half the day just waiting around.

"Mostly a lovely stay, especially the staff"
We had a really nice time at butlins overall, though there were a couple of little busy moments here and there. The restaurant and bar staff really stood out for us, everyone we spoke to was friendly, quick, and seemed to handle the rush well. The food came out hot, and the bar queues moved quicker than we expected, which was a nice surprise. They were also great with the kids, chatting and helping when needed. It made the evenings feel a lot more relaxed. Not absolutely perfect, but definitely a place we’d be happy to go back to

"We had to cancel our break in the..."
We had to cancel our break in the end, which was annoying more than anything because the timing just couldn’t have been worse. I was expecting the refund to be a bit of a hassle, but it was sorted much quicker than I thought. No messing around, thankfully, and I’m just glad that part was easy.
